2. What data we process, and why
2.1 Contacting us
The contact form on this website does not transmit or store any data on our servers. Clicking “Send Message” opens your own email client with a pre-filled message; data reaches us only if and when you choose to send that email. If you contact us, we process the data you provide (name, company, email address, phone number, message content) to handle your enquiry and to take steps prior to entering into a contract. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries).
2.2 Server logs
When you visit this website, our hosting infrastructure automatically processes technical data (IP address, date and time of the request, requested resource, browser type and version, operating system) in server log files. This is technically necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website). Log data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted according to the hosting provider's standard rotation periods.
2.3 Embedded maps (CARTO)
This website displays interactive maps rendered with the open-source library MapLibre GL. The map styles, tiles and fonts are loaded from the content delivery network of CARTO (basemaps.cartocdn.com), operated by CartoDB Inc. / CARTO. When the maps load, your browser transmits your IP address and standard request data (user agent, referrer) to CARTO's CDN; this is technically unavoidable for the content to be delivered. No cookies are set by this service and we receive no analytics from it. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in presenting our trade routes and export ports visually). Depending on the CDN edge location, requests may be processed on servers outside the EU/EEA; in such cases the transfer is safeguarded by the mechanisms of Chapter V GDPR.
3. Cookies
This website does not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics services or any other tracking technologies. For this reason no cookie banner is displayed.
4. Recipients
Personal data is disclosed only to the technical service providers necessary to operate this website (hosting provider, CDN providers named above), acting as processors under Art. 28 GDPR where applicable. We do not sell or share your data for marketing purposes.
5. Retention
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your request; if a business relationship follows, the data is retained for the duration of that relationship and any statutory retention periods (e.g. ten years for accounting records under Art. 2220 Codice Civile). Server logs are deleted according to standard rotation periods.
6. Your rights
Under Articles 15–21 GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict its processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@malyne.it.
7. Complaints
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Roma (www.garanteprivacy.it).
8. Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website or legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
